Geographical confine of Istria goes by the line from the cove of Muggia to the cove of Preluk. The west side of Istria is more shallow and better indented, while the east side is steep and less settled. Istrian tourism in the last decade didn't increase only in the sense of quantity, but also in the sense of quality, so it has reached the standards of the most famous european tourist destinations.
